The Curve-Billed Thrasher is a common Sonoran Desert resident identified by its long, down-curved bill and sharp “whit-wit” call. It frequents cholla cactus, where it often nests among the spines for protection. This species uses its bill to dig through leaf litter and dry soil to find insects, seeds, and berries, and it adapts well to residential desert landscaping.
